Helping to mitigate non-emergent 911 calls
Social Medicine Response Team
The Social Medicine Response Team is made up of trained Public Safety Chaplains, Community Chaplains and other support personnel that can be activated to assist in mitigating continuous non-emergent 911 dispatches through on-site assessment and referral process. Instead of the first responding agencies spending time assessing and contacting multiple resources, for each high volume client location, SMRT would be activated. SMRT will report any progress back to the requesting agency.
